A line from the book I am working on/ class I teach at my church is "You will not stumble into the Kingdom. You walk there, step by surrendered step." Which echoes your drifting into devotion line. So good! Thanks for sharing!
Lately praying in tongues in private really helps me. It relaxes me and yet I still feel like I’m doing (which is part of the addictive part for me of doom scrolling), plus things in my life softly fall into place.
Important message. I read an article on the same topic recently, and learned we can prime our brain to be focused or distracted. If you make a list and accomplish one thing on the list before looking at your phone, you are less likely to be drawn to the phone and more focused through the day. The rhythm gets easier with time, and preps morning quiet time to be a more productive in the daily renewing of our minds.

Thanks for reading Jackie!
Practical step #2 was one that I had to think about and have been guilty of.
Another thing that I've found helpful, is understanding and realizing there is a concerted, multilateral effort by the enemy to keep us distracted.
And in many cases we've been so desensitized by the noise, we fail to realize that even our "normal" is often a distraction.
Great piece!
Thanks for sharing.
